Superlift Systems Raise Up Late Model Ford F-150 Owners

Originally appeared on Automoblog.net

In today’s meme induced culture, we are well aware of the phrase “do you even lift?” Given the ambiguity of the English language, one might be able to answer with a resounding “yes” even if they never visit the gym.

If you are a Superlift customer, you know what we mean. The company recently unveiled new 4×4 suspension systems for the 2015 and 2016 Ford F-150. The kits give Ford owners greater off-road capability.

Superlift systems are designed increase ground clearance without sacrificing ride quality.

Two Options

A 4 ½-inch or 6-inch lift system is available, with a choice of rear shock absorbers: SUPERLIFT Superide or  SUPERLIFT Superide SS by Bilstein. Superlift also offers a compatibility option for vehicles equipped with a two-piece rear driveshaft and carrier bearing. Both kits come with all the parts necessary for a complete instillation, which takes 7 to 9 hours roughly.

OEM Inspired

Superlift took special precautions with the new lift systems, focusing extensively on ride and handling quality. Ford provided trucks for Superlift designers who used 3D CAD software to ensure easy installation and proper fit. Each lift option provides the correct CV and driveshaft angles, with no modification to the tie rod ends.

Superlift suspension kits allow for the use of 18-inch or larger factory wheels and meet the OEM specifications. This is one of the biggest advantages to a suspension change. When combined with the increased ride height, larger, more aggressive off-road tires provide a range of capability in many conditions, be it mud or snow.
