Infiniti’s new 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine is a pivotal “new chapter” for the automaker. The compact, lightweight design strikes a balance between efficiency and performance as Infiniti builds on their long heritage of V6 engineering. Driver’s will experience higher levels of torque and power than any comparable predecessors offered by Infiniti.
It’s easy to see this new 3.0-liter V6 as the fruit of Inifnit’s labor, highlighted by Carlos Ghosn, Nissan’s President and Chief Executive Officer, at the 2016 North American International Auto Show.
As sales for the brand have risen so has an exclusive VR-series powertrain family, of which the 3.0-liter V6 originates. The first will be under the hood of the 2016 Infiniti Q50.
Below are some stunning technical and cinema graphs of the V-6 VR engine produced in Iwaki, Fukushima, Japan. Infiniti Motor Company Ltd. is headquartered in Hong Kong, and has in addition to Japan and China, manufacturing facilities in the United States and United Kingdom. Infiniti plans to expand into Mexico by 2017.
