Careful! That Might Be Illegal While Driving

Legal To Drive #2

With Thanksgiving here and Christmas right around the corner, ’tis the season for turkey and travel.  And these days, it’s easy to Google just about anything and everything you would need in order to prepare.

“How to make the perfect mashed potatoes?”
“How to create a memorable table setting?”
“How to field inquires on why you are still single?”

And finally, “is *blank* illegal while driving?”

Our friends at JustPark surveyed the top entries on Google asking whether or not it was legal to do certain things while driving. Some of them are enlightening, some hilarious, and others go without saying.

Indiana, Kansas, and Delaware residents won’t be able to drive their golf cart to see family this weekend. That’s illegal in those states. However, in New Mexico and California it’s perfectly fine.

Got a lead foot? Sure, the left lane is ideal but not if you live in Washington or Maine. Do your passing business and get your tail back to the right lane. Watching a DVD while driving? Be careful. Most states outlaw that. Your family rendition of “Let it Go” will have to wait until you are safely parked and in the living room.

In some states, it’s illegal to drive a car without a front bumper.

“You see, officer, that helps with the aerodynamic downforce, not having the bumper there, plus more engine air flow.”

Have you ever Googled whether or not it was legal/illegal to do a particular thing behind the wheel? Care to share it?
